RipFest will kick off tomorrow morning beginning with a 5K and Kids Fun Run starting at 8 a.m. in front of Siebert Elementary School. After the 5k, the annual RipFest event holds a day of activities that take place on the downtown square. Registration Form
Bryan Jackson will be doing some of his motorcycle stunts in front of the courthouse at 9:40 a.m. Jackson has various motorized stunt units he uses in his performances and even though he may not perform on all of them before the parade, he will have them all displayed in the Bryans Car Show area during the day.
The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and marches east on W. Main Street passing the grandstand in front of the Eastland Courthouse. A segment of the parade offers a spot for any children and their parents who would like to participate in the parade on bicycles, pulling/riding wagons, or just marching along. Children wanting to participate will gather in the parking lot behind the Victor Cornelius building at the corner of W. Commerce and S.Green St. before the parade starts.
The square will have arts & craft, food and informational vendors. Live music, bounce houses and kids activities, along with Bryans Car Show will offer something for everyone all day long.
Bryans Car Show has continued to be one of the highlights at RipFest since 1985. It continues to grow, offering a parking lot and several streets lined with some of the finest antique and classic cars, trucks and often a tractor or two. Drop by the Bryans booth to cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award. Hang around for the “Ground Pounder” event when all show participants have a chance to show what they have under the hood with a group rev! This Ground Pounder takes place sometime around 1 p.m.
Be sure and take the opportunity to visit downtown Eastland, Saturday, October 6th for RipFest!
