From supporters to staff to family, I want to thank everyone who contributed to Tuesday night’s victory. However, I cannot, in good conscience, celebrate this achievement in light of the recent tragedy that occurred in Uvalde. While those who made yesterday possible were enjoying this occasion, there were those in our same great state dealing with an unmeasurable tragedy. The loss of a child is something that I understand firsthand, and it is a pain that I would not wish on anyone. In a time such as this, words can bring little comfort to those who are bearing suffering too great to comprehend.
To those who took to the polls yesterday to cast their vote, it is in this moment that I hope we can remember that we are all one family – and that we share in the love and pain of our fellow Texans equally. From Parker, Palo Pinto, and Stephens, together, I believe that our district can accomplish great things, and we have the opportunity to offer an equally great service to others. Those in Uvalde need our help, support, and prayers. I ask that you spare your time, donations, or resources in any way you can to the multitude of organizations that are working with these families firsthand.
During this election season, I am forever grateful for the support of my constituents across the district, and I look forward to upholding my end of the bargain as your State Representative.
God Bless Texas!
