Rosie Ochoa, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 76. She was born on November 10, 1946, in Toyah, Texas, to parents Julio and Micaela Jimenez
Growing up, Rosie lived in train box cars before her family settled in Eastland, Texas. She worked at PPG Aerospace. She met her husband Manuel Ochoa at a dance in Los Angeles. They were married for over 25 years. She was the most giving, loving, selfless person. She took joy in giving people gifts.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Julio and Micaela Jimenez, her husband, Manuel Ochoa, and her brother and sisters, Jimmy, Ramona, Cecelia, Frances, Abilene “Coca,” and Marie “Mary.”
She is survived by her sisters, Maggie Jimenez, Jessie Jimenez, her brothers, Julio Jimenez (Gilma), Everisto Jimenez, Felipe Jimenez, Alex Jimenez (Mary Ellen), John Jimenez, her nieces who she considered like her own daughters, Debbie Jimenez, Tina Torres, Andrea “Yaya” Chavarria, as well as many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Rosie moved back to Eastland, Texas to enjoy her retirement. She spent lots of time with her family. She loved watching her novellas and other tv shows. She was a devoted Catholic and prayed the rosary every day.
Rosie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and laughter will be remembered and cherished forever. The viewing will be held on June 22nd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, Texas. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church on June 23rd at 10:00am.
