EASTLAND COUNTY – Due to rain forecast once again in the area this week, removal of the I-20 overpass at CR 235/Desdemona Blvd. has been rescheduled to Tues., Sept. 20, weather and other unforeseen delays permitting.
As planned prior, all interstate traffic, from 0.6 miles west of CR 235 (Desdemona Blvd.) to 0.6 miles east of
CR 236 (Blundell St.), will be detoured to the frontage roads while work is being performed. The traffic pattern on both frontage roads will be restricted to one direction of travel during the removal (see map below). It is anticipated that this work will be completed in one day; however, it may be necessary for work to continue into the evening hours.
Motorists should expect delays on Sept. 20 and are asked to use an alternate route if possible. Please plan ahead, allowing extra time to arrive at your destination, use caution, avoid distractions, and obey road signs while traveling in this location.
