You don’t have to own a TikTok account to watch Jazmine Maldonado show off two new computers at the Ranger City Library! Just Google her mom, Jackie Garza, at “Little Sparkly Panda”. You, too, are invited to check out a new computer at 718 Pine Street, Ranger, Texas from 10 – 6:00 weekdays.
These brand-new computers and a new Xerox copy machine were provided by a grant from the Tocker Foundation. The cost was over $3,600, but the value? PRICELESS!
The Tocker Foundation was founded in 1964 and distributes grants to rural libraries serving a population of 12,000 and less – for towns like ours! These grants help small libraries serve as community centers and enhance information resources, and promote literacy and bilingual programs.
Special appreciation also goes to library volunteer Brian Smith who installed the new technology swiftly and professionally and cheerfully.
Need a copy, a good book, or a break from the heat? Please visit the Ranger City Library! For further information, just call 254-647-1880.
