A man died after an accident involving a motorcycle and a pickup Thursday evening 7 miles southeast of Eastland according to a Texas DPS report.

Mark Allen Jewett, 61 from Waseca, Minnesota, driving a 1985 Honda, VT 700 motorcycle, was traveling north on FM 2214 approaching CR 237, when a pickup traveling south on FM 2214 approaching County Road 237 turned left and collided with the motorcycle.

Jewett was pronounced dead on the scene by Justice of the Peace, Jon Glenn.
