Video: City of Strawn Community Workshop Planning Meeting

The City of Strawn was awarded a planning grant through the Texas Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Affairs. The funds will be used to develop a comprehensive plan for the city. Our City Manager, Danny Miller, and the City Council have been working closely with Jake McAdams, of Public Management, to create an updated city plan. The proposed project will include updated maps, a zoning ordinance for consideration, and a housing audit describing our current level of housing with a projection of the numbers for housing demolition, rehabilitation, and new construction necessary to keep up with current and forecasted population trends.

The purpose of this community meeting is to workshop with the citizens of Strawn, allowing for an opportunity to discuss the issues and contribute to the development of an action plan including coordinated strategies for revitalizing, strengthening, and promoting our growing community.
