Lana Lee Arrington, age 66, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, surrounded by loved ones. In the end, she was comfortable and at peace with angels in the midst.

Born in Denison, Texas, Lana spent her childhood growing up in Eastland, Texas, where she developed the strength, resilience, and independent spirit that would guide her throughout her life. She later made her home in and around Austin, Texas, where she spent many years building lasting friendships and embracing new opportunities.

After exploring several careers, Lana earned a certificate from Southwest School Electronics; and an Associate of Business from Austin Community College; and a certification for configuration management from Arizona State University. Lana built a successful career in configuration management and her dedication, intelligence, and strong work ethic earned the respect of those who worked alongside her. She later retired to Hillister, Texas, where she enjoyed a quieter life surrounded by the people, animals, and pursuits she loved.

Lana had an unmistakable passion for life. She drew people into a meaningful circle of friends and family, making each person feel valued and welcomed. She lived fiercely, loved deeply, and gave generously of herself. Patient and encouraging, she had a remarkable ability to see the potential in people, projects, and possibilities long before others could.

A true cowboy at heart from her first pony and wagon to her cowboy boots, farm animals, and Americana music, Lana embodied the cowboy ethos, giving selflessly to others. Lana found joy in the outdoors and was an avid fisherwoman, a talented mechanic, and someone who seemed to have a natural gift for understanding motors. Whether fixing an engine, casting a line, or taking on a new challenge, she approached life with confidence, determination, and an adventurous and wild spirit.

Lana was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as by her brother.

She is survived by her devoted wife, Heather Ann Morgan Arrington, whose love and partnership were the greatest blessings of Lana’s life. Together they shared a bond built on unwavering commitment, laughter, and unconditional love.

Lana is also survived by those friends who have always been her family, and her nephews, nieces, and godchildren.

Though Lana had been struggling with her health for some time, she faced her journey with courage and grace. Her passing brings sadness to all who loved her, but there is comfort in knowing she is now at rest.

Lana leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, loyalty, and perseverance. She will be remembered not only for what she accomplished, but for the lives she touched deeply, the friendships she nurtured, and the love she shared so freely.

Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

A celebration of life remembrance will be posted to Lana’s Facebook page in the near future.
