Janelle Lynn Billington, 64, Starke, FL
It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother and great grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend. On Thursday, July 13, 2023, Janelle Billington, Age 64, passed from this earth peacefully with her family by her bedside from a long battle with lung disease. After her death, she continued to help others by being an organ donor.
Janelle was born May 9, 1959, In Corsicana, TX to Toby and Melba Nesmith. In 1977 she graduated from Corsicana High School in Corsicana, TX. In 1979, her son Rick was born and in 1985 her daughter Elizabeth was born. She continued her education at Navarro College in Corsicana and graduated in 1987 with and Assoicates degree with honors in Nursing. Janelle had such a passion to help others. She worked in numerous positions in health care and administration, and she was amazing at what she could do. Janelle’s favorite thing to do as a Registered Nurse was teaching others about the field of Nursing. She taught LVN school at Texas State Technical College in Breckenridge, TX in 2005.
She met the love of her life, Trulon Billington in 1999. They spent 24 beautiful years together and she was blessed with her Bonus son Donnie and her Bonus daughter Sheena.
In 2013, Janelle and Trulon moved to Florida with their daughter Elizabeth to retire and to be closer to her children. Janelle loved the beach and adored all her beautiful children and Grandbabies. She lived for her family and would fight for them in any situation.
Janelle is survived by her loving husband Trulon Billington of Starke, FL, her son Rick Burns and wife Ashley of Grimes, IA, her son Donnie Cason and wife Layce of New Braunfels, TX, her daughter Elizabeth Colvin and Husband Aubrey of Starke, FL, Her daughter Sheen Molina and husband Steve of Middleburg, FL, Sister Marva Mount and husband Jim of Mansfield, TX, Sister-in-laws Judy Newman, Charlene Hudson and husband bub, Jan Walker and husband Dennis, Brother in laws Allen Billington and wife Tina, and Donald Billington. Grandbabies Mya (Garrett), Nathan, Troy, Jordan, Tyler, Charlie, Easton, Seth, Harley, Addison, Kinley, Kyler, Lea, Dakota, Emersyn, Natalie, Ellie Jo, Abby and Jayden. Great Grandbabies Luka and Gia
Janelle is preceded in death by her parents Toby and Melba Nesmith, Paternal grandparents Burley and Lois Nesmith, Maternal grandparents William and SueElla Cockrell, Mother-in-law Wanda (Granny) Billington, and beautiful niece Ashley Greene. She also had Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
A memorial service will be held at the First Christian Church of Cisco, Cisco TX on November 21st, 2023 at 3 pm.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the Foundation of Sarcoidosis Research.
