James Michael Hallmark

James Michael Hallmark of North Richland Hills, known as Mike to family and friends, passed away on December 11, 2022.  

Mike was born August 4, 1948 to Audice Copeland Hallmark and Pearl Beatrice Ridling.  Mike met the love of his life, Joan Hensley Hallmark in high school.  They married August 25, 1966 and were married for 56 years.  Mike and Joan had three children, Dollie, Glenda and Mikey.  

After graduating from Eastland High School in 1966 he went to TSTI in Waco, Texas to study auto body repair.  Mike was highly respected in his field due to his impeccable work ethic and ability to take on the most difficult repair jobs.  Mike retired from W. O. Bankston AutoNation in 2013.  Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, singing and watching westerns.  Mike had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.  His family especially enjoyed his fresh tomatoes, peppers, greens, and homemade jelly and salsa.  

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Audice and Pearl Hallmark; brother, Leland Hallmark; sister, Sue Hallmark; son, Mikey Hallmark; grandson, Justin Hallmark and grandson JT Burleson. 

He is survived by his wife Joan Hallmark; daughter, Dollie Mendoza (Armando), daughter Glenda Olsen (Christopher); grandchildren, Candice Ley (Jake), Chelsey Crowson (Nick), Wade Laughlin, Sherry Crane (Ben), Seth Olsen and Sadie Olsen; and great-grandchildren Elyse, Kyler, Caroline, Hunter, Olivia, Lyla, Leslie, Elliot, Mikey and Ava.  

A public viewing will be held December 16, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home located at 411 S. Mulberry Street, Eastland, Texas 76448.  Services will be held December 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Edwards Funeral Home and graveside to follow at Eastland City Cemetery.
