Beverley Jan Edwards

Beverley Jan Edwards, “Mickey”, was a kind, loving, and vibrant wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world on November 26, 2022 after spending her last Thanksgiving Day listening to happy sounds of her family enjoying the day.

She was born to Jim Rhodes and Francis Fox (Rhodes), in Dalhart, Texas on May 5, 1941. She married the love of her life, Ronnie Edwards, in Lubbock Texas, December 17, 1959. Together, Ronnie and Mickey had four boys over the next four years, Kenny, Robby, Trent and Bobby.

Mickey loved spending time with her family and was always up for any adventure that Ronnie could dream up. She enjoyed watching her husband and boys racing everything that had a motor. Mickey could always be found cheering on the sidelines and running around making sure that everyone was having fun, the car was full of gas and the winnings were collected. Mickey also enjoyed playing golf and the 19th hole where she would see all of her friends. Later, she loved sitting on her deck, sipping wine with her best friends and watching the cars go by on Main Street. Mickey’s little dog Boo was her constant companion who she loved to spoil with snuggles, car rides, treats, and long walks.

Mickey was proceeded in death by her husband, Ronnie Edwards, her mother and step father, Francis and Milton Fox, her father, Jim Rhodes, her sister, DeLesa Roberts and her grand-daughter Catrina Edwards. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Kenny and Nanette, Robby and Meredith, Trent and Diane, Bobby and Robbye, fourteen grand-children, and thirteen great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, DeAnn and Carl Light, her brother and sister-in-law Bobby and

Marilyn Rhodes, and her sister-in-law Shirley Stuart, who was also Mickey’s best friend. Mickey was a beloved Aunt to many beautiful nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was especially close to her niece Kathy Jo and adored spending time with her.

Visitation will be held at Mickey’s home, 1711 W. Commerce, Sunday, December 4, 2022, 6pm-8pm.

Mickey’s life will be celebrated in a Memorial Service at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland Texas, Monday, December 5, 2022, 2pm.
