Ranger Veterans Support Group Will hold Patriot Day Freedom Walk to Honor 9/11 Heroes

The Ranger Veterans Support Group will be holding a Freedom Walk on September 11th, Patriot’s Day. All local communities are welcome to participate because we will be honoring the first responders in your community too!

We will pay tribute to America’s hometown heroes:

First Responders and those who lost their lives in the 9/ll, 2001 terrorist attacks and for those fighting in the War on Terror that followed the attacks. We will also pay tribute to the local military men and women fought in the war that followed.

We also want to honor our first responders, throughout the area, for all that they continue to do for us.

We will walk from the Ranger Swimming pool to the Ranger Vietnam Memorial Park. This is a one-mile walk. Those who cannot walk that far can pick a spot somewhere between the two points and join the rest of the group when they get there. If you cannot walk at all then join us at the Vietnam Park (on Loop 254 in Ranger, Texas next to the Ranger Fire Department) and wait for everyone.

The walk will start at 10:30 am, Friday the 11th of September at Willow Park in Ranger, TX.

Speakers will be at the park. Bottled water will be furnished. Please come walk and show your patriotism on Patriot’s Day and honor our First Responders.
