Ranger Historical Preservation Society Presents
The Twenty Third Annual Night-Time Lighted Christmas Parade
6:00 Friday Evening ~ November 30, 2018
Downtown Main Street ~ Ranger, Texas
Theme ~ “An Olde Tyme Christmas”
On Friday evening, 30 November 2018 a crowd of folks, from babies in arms to young adults, parents grandparents, and more will gather on Ranger’s downtown W. Main Street. They will be anxiously waiting for the lights of the lead vehicle coming over the hill announcing “The Parade Has Started”!
State, County and City of Ranger Law Enforcement, Ranger Volunteer Fire Department along with area Fire Departments will lead the parade of entries from Ranger, area towns and counties. Hardin-Simmons University (HSU) Six White Horses and Cowboy Band, in keeping with a long-time tradition, will participate in the parade. Bands playing Joyful Music for our listening pleasure; Floats decorated with lights to make their presentation of the “Theme”; Queens/Sweethearts representing their School or Organization; Horse Drawn, Horses with individual Riders or Riding Groups; Antique, Classic or “after Classic” Vehicles; ATVs, Motorcycles; Drill Team/Cheerleaders; all decorated with beautiful lights; Last but no least Ranger Fire Department’s Big Red “Engine 2” will bring the ONE Santa to ranger via the Parade.
IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE PARADE:
Santa will be in the Joseph Building’s former Bulldog Cafe to visit the children, hear their wishes and give them a bag of goodies.
The HSU Cowboy Band will give their yearly performance at the Gazebo in the park.
*Please Do Not include Santa in your entry.
*1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place Trophies will be awarded at the Review Podium

Remember this is “Night-Time” and for SAFETY REASONS PLEASE DO NOT THROW CANDY OR ANY OBJECTS from your entry. Bands and other non motor groups will be walking ~ ALL moto vehicles are requested to move about five (5) mph keeping about two car lengths between you and the entry in front of you. Ranger Historical Preservation Society will not be responsible for Any Accidents or Damages.
