The Eastland Chamber of Commerce and the Eastland Community Foundation held its annual One Starry Night on December 7th.
It was a perfect Texas winter night with nothing more than a light jacket needed to keep warm.
The evening kicked off with a lighted parade down Main Street. Once the parade ended, the crowd headed for Grimes Memorial Garden so the kids could give their wish list to Santa. Danny Hutto and his helpers provided every child with a gift from Santa. The line for Santa wrapped around the end of the garden area, out the gate and almost to the street. Hot chocolate and cookies were handed out and visitors were entertained with Christmas music performed by various local groups.
Visitors to the Eastland Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page voted for their favorite parade float and the winners were…
In 1st place and winner of $250 The Eastland Youth Cheerleading Association with 430 votes.
In 2nd place and winner of $100 Dance Studio 99 with 398 votes.
In 3rd Place and winner of $50 Beverly Pointer with 386 votes.
In 4th place Eastland Elementary’s Siebert Singers with 372 votes.
Thanks to the Eastland Chamber of Commerce for sharing their photos of the parade floats that were taken before dark.
