Mike Lang Reverses Decision to Not Seek Re-election

Friday, Mike Lang announced he will be seeking re-election to the Texas House of Representative.

Last Wednesday, Lang announced that he would not seek re-election to the Texas House of Representative and would instead be running for a Hood County commissioner seat.

In an email received today, Lang announced his reversal of the decision to not seek re-election:

Since my announcement, I have heard from many members of our community and conservative leaders who stressed to me how important it is that I continue as state representative.

The day after Lang announced his decision to not run for re-election, Dr. Glenn Rogers, a local rancher, and veterinarian in Palo Pinto County announced his plans to seek the Republican nomination for Texas House District 60.  Rogers has stated that he had made the decision to run long before Representative Lang announced his retirement.

Another Republican candidate for House District 60, Granbury attorney Kellye SoRelle, announced her campaign back in August.
