Louis “Jake” Morgan passed away on December 17, 2019 at the age of 97. He was born in Scranton, Texas on June 30, 1922. He worked in the family grocery business in Scranton before opening Eastland Grain and Seed and later opening Farm & Ranch Supply in Cisco, Texas. He was a hard worker with a great sense of humor, and was always eager to share a great story. He enjoyed having a cup of coffee with his friends at the local coffee shop, visiting with his customers at the feed store, feeding his livestock and bragging about his 2 granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren.
Louis is survived by his son, Jerry Morgan of Cisco; and daughter, Susie and husband Bill Warford; granddaughter, Leslie and husband Matt Ormiston; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Jacob, and Caroline; granddaughter, Shelly and husband Jeff Lambert; and great-grandson, Greyson, all of Austin, Texas.
He was preceded in death by Lois June Allen Morgan his loving wife of 58 years, his parents Isaac Walker Jr. and Nora Morgan, and ten siblings.
He lived a long, full life and will be dearly missed, but we find comfort in knowing that he is reunited once again with the love of his life.
Services will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 1 p.m. at the Chambers Funeral Home located at 203 West 7th St., Cisco, Texas, with interment to follow at the Scranton Cemetery.
