Hats Off To Our Eastland County Youth

boyscoutsRanger High School Band and Siebert Singers from Eastland Siebert Elementary School, and the Cisco Boy Scout Troop 101 ALL did a Great Job! Band & Singers entertained during set-up and then performed magnificently for their part on the program.  Cisco Boy Scout Troop 101 representatives sure did as well when it came time to Post The Colors. “You All Made Us Proud!
Thanks to everyone who helped put together the “Bankhead Highway Through Eastland County” marker dedication ceremony.  Although the weather was misty, there was a very large crowd, and all we heard were good words. This was truly a special event with many people working together to make it happen.  Ken Charman and Ranger Citizens Task Force members, Clinton Eaton and Ranger Church of God members, Ranger Mayor Joe Pilgrim, Kenneth Clark & Texas Covers, Steve Key & Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, special thanks to Mr. Gordon Harmon and Gay Metcalf of La Finca Mexican Restaurant, Ranger Chamber of Commerce, our speaker Texas Historical Commission member Bob Brinkman of Austin, Andy Keith & Ralph Hanson, Austin TxDOT, Brownwood TxDOT PIO Andrew Carlson, Judge Rex Fields & Eastland County Historical Commission members, Larry Smith, TxDOT Area Engineer & crew for wonderful job of traffic control, the various members of the news media for promoting & covering, and to all Ranger Historical Preservation Society (RHPS) members who helped before, during and after ~ Thanks to EVERYONE.  I hope I have not left anyone out, just know that if so, it is not intentional.
Those above are actually folks who had a part in putting this great event together for you, the public. My sincere appreciation and thanks to all those great kids, and all others for helping put together this great historical occasion in our Eastland County Texas on April 13, 2016!
