The Eastland Police Department press release concerning the stabbing incident at Walmart in Eastland on Thursday, March 7. Brad Wilson has been charged with murder and is being held in the Eastland County Jail.
At approximately 3:15 pm today [Thursday, March 7], the Eastland Police Department was summoned to Walmart regarding a stabbing. A man was located by police in the parking lot near the front of the store who was bleeding from the hand. As police approached the man he attempted to flee. The man was detained and handcuffed by the officer. The officer was then summoned by other bystanders to row 4. The officer arrived and found a man bleeding from multiple stab wounds. Fire and EMS along with other law enforcement arrived to assist. The victim, Lyndell Garrett, 75, of Throckmorton, was transported by ambulance to Eastland Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. The suspect, Brad Wilson, 39, of Cambridge Ohio, was arrested at the scene and taken to jail and is currently pending charges and arraignment. The case is currently still under investigation
