EASTLAND COUNTY WATER SUPPLY DISTRICT FREE-CHLORINE CONVERSION FOR THE EASTLAND
– RANGER WATER SYSTEM WILL END November 1, 2019
Effective Friday, November 1, 2019, the ECWSD system, which includes the City of Ranger, will revert back to our normal Chloramine disinfection process. Any customers or facilities using sensitive water filtering systems, such as Hospital Labs, Dialysis Centers and Nursing Home facilities are advised to check your systems and make adjustments if necessary.
The Eastland County Water Supply District (ECWSD) has conducted the Free-Chlorine Conversion of the Eastland-Ranger Water System since October 1, 2019. The Conversion consisted of changing our water disinfection from Chloramine to Free-Chlorine. This was a routine maintenance procedure in which our Public Works staff flushed water lines throughout the city during the burn-out period. The Free-Chlorine Conversion procedure has been completed and we will return to normal Chloramine disinfection beginning Friday, November 1, 2019.
