On September 11th, the Eastland Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting for the Eastland County Food Pantry at their new location at 105 E Olive St, in Eastland.
The new facility was made possible by the generous donations of Fred Winkler who purchased the lot, and E. T. Bradley who paid for the building. Director, Patty Cole, welcomed visitors to tour the new facility. A prayer was offered by Darrel Phillips, pastor at the First United Methodist Church of Eastland which previously housed the Food Pantry in their annex building.
The Eastland County Food Pantry is funded by individual and area church donations and serves 100 to 125 families a month.
