Eastland County COVID-19 Update, September 30, 2020

This is the case count as of September 30, 2020. This is from the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) as well as confirmed cases that are sent to me from local clinics and the hospital. I do not count any word of mouth until I receive the lab report. I compare the cases to be sure there are no duplicates. The report is:

  1. Total number of positive COVID cases since March 2020: 256
  2. Total number of confirmed positives that are still in quarantine: 27
  3. Total number of deaths from COVID:1

An individual that is positive is in quarantine for 10 days (and no symptoms for 24 hours)

Dr. Robert DeLuca

Ken Martinez I was told that 2 from Eastland died out of our county. May have been in other hospitals out of our town.

Because Dr. DeLuca does not receive any reports from the state that lists deaths. The 1 death he lists was a nurse that they had first-hand information about.

Again I ask. Why does the CDC say 3 deaths???
