Eastland County COVID-19 Update, July 31, 2020

As of today, there have been 79 positive COVID-19 cases since March. There are presently 11 individuals still in quarantine or active. These positive confirmed cases are tallied from several sources including:

  1. DSHS daily reports
  2. Eastland Memorial Hospital results
  3. Local clinic reports
  4. Reports from hospitals or clinics outside Eastland County

The positives that are received from all of those sources are reviewed daily as well as compared to DSHS report. The only tests counted as positives are either those on the DSHS report or those which have lab report confirmation. Those considered still in quarantine are determined by date. Patients who remain symptomatic even past their quarantine days should remain in self-quarantine until 72 hours after symptoms have resolved. Please refer to the CDC guidelines and the DSHS guidelines for return to work or school.

Please continue to wear your masks in public and keep social distancing. This is the only way to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
