Tea Party Patriots of Eastland County is delighted to welcome Dr. Robin Armstrong to the Myrtle Wilks Community Center in Cisco Thursday, October 8. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.; doors open at 6:00.

Dr. Armstrong grew up in a political family. Long active in the GOP, he says of his party, “It is not enough to preach to the choir; we must continue to grow by reaching out to people of faith, professional groups, and minorities who have been abandoned by liberalism.” He has served the Republican Party of Texas in various posts including Vice Chairman and is currently National Committeeman from Texas. He is also a surrogate for President Trump’s reelection campaign.

Born in Texas City, Armstrong graduated from La Marque High, where he was wide receiver in a championship football program and ran track. He then earned degrees in microbiology from Texas A&M-College Station and in internal medicine from UT-Galveston. Back in Texas City, he serves patients in-hospital, Armstrong Medical Group, and in three long-term care facilities. He is married to Martha, also a doctor, with whom he has four sons.

Media attention swirled around Dr. Armstrong this April and May when dozens of staff and residents at his Texas City nursing home tested positive for Covid-19. He chose to treat those elderly, vulnerable patients with a regimen of azithromycin, zinc and the newly-controversial drug hydroxychloroquine. All but one patient, an elderly man, recovered. Dr. Armstrong has continued to administer the drug prophylactically.

More recently, Dr. Armstrong joined a lawsuit opposing Governor Abbott’s arbitrary and capricious extension of early voting. He was joined in that by the Republican Party of Texas and Party Chairman Lt. Col. (Ret.) Allen West and a number of Texas legislators and grassroots activists.

Join Dr. Robin Armstrong Thursday, October 8, in the beautiful Myrtle Wilks Community Center auditorium, 1498 West I 20 in Cisco. Mingle with neighbors when doors open at 6:00 p.m., and, come 6:30, prepare to be inspired!
