District-Wide Striping Project to Begin Next Week

The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) Brownwood District will begin a thermoplastic striping project throughout the nine counties of the district on April 10th.  This will include work in Brown, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, Lampasas, McCulloch, Mills, San Saba and Stephens Counties.

TxDOT has awarded the $978,221 contract to L&L Company of Gardendale, TX.  Work will begin in Stephens County April 10 and will move south through the other counties of the district as the project progresses. Completion is anticipated by the end of the first week of June 2019, weather permitting.

Flaggers will assist in traffic control at various times throughout this very mobile operation.  Motorists are reminded to drive with caution and slow their speed.  TxDOT appreciates the patience of the traveling public as crews work to complete this project.
