The City of Cisco will have Trick or Treat night on Saturday, October 26, 2019. The downtown businesses are handing out candy from 4-6 p.m. and then residential trick-or-treating will be afterward for any citizens wishing to participate.
A tip: If you are participating, turn your porch light on. If you do not wish to participate you can turn your porch light off if that is something you want to do.
The Cisco Police Department wants to help your kids have a safe Halloween with a few safety tips:
1.) Avoid trick-or-treating alone. Walk in groups or with a trusted adult.
2.) Only walk on sidewalks wherever available, or if not possible, walk on the far edge of the road facing traffic to stay safe.
3.) Choose bright costumes and/or have children carry flashlights or glow sticks so they are easily visible. (Treat – Try adding reflective tape to costumes and candy bags)
4.) ALWAYS check your children’s candy before they consume it.
5.) Teach children to say “NO!” in a loud voice if someone tries to get them to go somewhere, accept anything other than a treat, or leave with them.
