Arrest Made in Doc’s Drugstore Armed Robbery

Teresa Abila mug shot-eAn armed robbery of Doc’s Drug Store located at 905 East Main St. in Eastland occurred on Saturday February 24th 2018 at approximately 9:45am. The suspect entered the drug store wearing loose clothing and a orange ski mask. The suspect brandished a black handgun and demanded Hydrocodone and Oxycontin pain pills. Doc’s drug store employees were not harmed during the robbery. The suspect was able to flee the scene with a large amount of pills of Hydrocodone of various dosage.

The Eastland Police Department has been conducting an investigation into the armed robbery. Video surveillance obtained during the investigation was able to provide a suspect vehicle description. Officer Kolton Preston while conducting routine patrol located a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle. Preston was able to identify the owner of the vehicle. Eastland Police Department Investigator Jason Weger conducted interviews with multiple individuals who had access to the suspect vehicle. Eastland Police Department on Wednesday April 4th 2018 executed a search warrant on a residence located 907 Pershing in Ranger Texas. Information and evidence recovered during the search has resulted in the arrest of Teresa Renee Abila 41 of Ranger in connection with the armed robbery. Abila is currently being held in the Eastland County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
