Alice Linahan Talks Education Legislation

Beware: The Texas Legislature is in session and focusing on Texas schools, with property taxes, school finance, school safety and teacher pay in the news. Unresolved issues from last session linger: data and personal privacy, perversely sexualized curricula, and unacknowledged common core. And now, medicalization.

What does this mean for you and your kids?

Tea Party Patriots recruited Alice Linahan to sort out these threads. Alice joins us at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 14 at the Myrtle Wilks Community Center in Cisco. Mingling begins at 6:00.

Alice Linahan is a politically active Texas mom who has worked hard in the trenches of the Grassroots Movement. An established leader in new media with Voices Empower and Women on the Wall (of which she is vice president), Alice serves with a heartfelt but humorous touch. When necessary, however, Alice delivers truth in a bold, fresh manner. She brings alive stories from the trenches of a growing movement where parents are asking, #CANiSEE what you are teaching my child?

Alice is talk show host for Women On the Wall Radio Show and author of “A parents journey from #CANiSEE™© to I Can SEE” study on common core. She was awarded’s 2014 Upton Sinclair Award for advancing best education policies for American children. She is Texas coordinator for “Child Abuse in the Classroom: A Legal Challenge to ESSA” to reverse the dangerous Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015.

Alice tirelessly educates parents about the dangers of 21st Century education reform, its depth and breadth, and how to put “boots on the ground.” Her communication team gives parents, grandparents, taxpayers and teachers tools to make a difference.

Alice Linahan speaks across the country on Big Ed’s hijacking of our schools, effecting the “unilateral mental disarmament” of the next generation of American voters. She is described as “passionate in everything she does and proof one person can make a difference.”

Join us (6:00 p.m. for mingling, program at 6:30) Thursday, February 14, for this important presentation.
