EASTLAND COUNTY – Beginning June 1, 2026, TxDOT forces will begin a pavement rehabilitation project on SH 6, weather permitting. The project will begin near FM 1853 and progress south to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.

This project will recycle the existing asphalt and flexible base, then place new asphalt and striping.
It is anticipated the project will be completed by the end of August.

TxDOT encourages drivers to plan ahead, follow posted detour signs, and allow extra travel time during this construction. Please watch for crews and equipment entering and exiting the work zone.
