Russell W. “Rusty” Brown remains a faithful servant of God. While in his earthly body, he cared for those given to him—his parents, his two brothers, his wife, his three children, his four grandchildren, his many dear friends, and all the little ones God directed him to during his earthly years. All of these, he loved through humble and caring acts of service. In addition, he cared for the land beneath his feet and shared its harvest with many others. His season of toil, struggle, and dust has ended. His season of creative labor with our Lord and God has only just begun. Those who survive you look forward to joining you. Peace, Rusty. Peace.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2026 at the New Gordon Cemetery in Gordon with Randy Lawrence officiating, and under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Strawn, Tx.
