GORMAN – Beginning Monday, October 20, TxDOT’s contractor will close the intersection of FM 8 North and SH 6 due to construction. This closure will last approximately one week.

Work will include storm drain installation and pavement rehabilitation. During this phase of construction, FM 8 North will be restricted to prohibit truck traffic. Local traffic will be allowed to use city streets to detour around the work zone to return to SH 6 or FM 8.

Motorists are asked to use caution in and near the work zone, obey all warning signs and please
avoid distractions. Watch for crews and equipment entering and exiting the work zone.
