TxDOT issues urgent call to drivers to help reverse deadly trend…
Eastland County Commissioners have implemented a burn ban for all unincorporated areas of Eastland County, effective immediately.
Beginning June 1, 2026, TxDOT forces will begin a pavement rehabilitation project on SH 6, weather permitting. The project will begin near FM 1853 and progress south to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.

AUSTIN – Three of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders are back in custody following their recent arrests. Authorities captured Andrew Lopez in San Antonio, Albert Merell, Jr. in Corpus Christi and Kerry Armstrong in Erath Co. earlier this month.
EASTLAND – Beginning Tuesday, May 26, TxDOT’s contractor, Built Right Construction of Oklahoma, will perform bridge maintenance on the I-20 overpass at FM 570/SH 112. Construction will require the following lane closures on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 26-27:
