Eastland County COVID-19 Update Aug 27 – Sept 5, 2021

The following is the report for cases from 8/27-9/5/2021

1.  The number of covid-19 cases still in quarantine:  82

(These are from testing at Eastland Memorial Hospital, B & W clinic, Family Health Clinic and Ranger ISD)

There are many other active cases that include home testing, schools and other testing facilities. Those have not been officially reported to me.  We still have several individuals in the hospital in Eastland that have been admitted for COVID. We are also following several Eastland County citizens that are in Intensive care in other hospitals.

If you have been previously vaccinated, a third booster will be available toward the end of September.  If you are not vaccinated please consider doing so. The vast majority of admissions to the hospitals and subsequently, those who end up on ventilators, have not been vaccinated.
