TxDOT’s Annual Sealcoat Project to Return to Eastland County

EASTLAND COUNTY – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Brownwood District’s annual maintenance sealcoat project will enter Eastland County on Thursday, August 26. The project will continue throughout the district over the next few weeks.

Beginning Thursday, TxDOT’s contractor Brannon Paving Ltd., will work on the north and south frontage roads of I-20, from FM 570 to 0.4 mile west of Loop 254 W. This work is anticipated to be finished on Friday.

Work will continue on the following roadways in the city of Eastland, near the Eastland County Courthouse, Sunday morning, August 29:
SH 6: from Ammerman Street to SH 112
SH 112: from SH 6 to FM 570
SH 112: from the Union Pacific Railroad to SH 6

Motorists should expect various lane closures and plan for possible delays in travel. On two lane roadways, a pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone. Motorists are asked to use caution, avoid distractions and slow their speed.

Schedule of work is subject to change, weather permitting and other unforeseen delays.
