BALLINGER-Twila Miller Evans, 81, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger, Texas.
Twila was born on December 20, 1931 in Osage County, Oklahoma to Charles Benjamin and Nora Ellen (Glasby) Miller. She graduated from Ralston High School in Oklahoma. She married Billie Evans and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2001. Also preceding her in death are her parents and her three brothers and six sisters.
Twila managed Taylor Center in Cisco, worked as a clerk at Margaret’s Grocery in Ranger, and was a care provider at Rock House in Eastland. She attended Olden Baptist Church. She was happiest when surrounded by family.
Survivors include her son: Charles Albert “Chip” Evans and friend Tina Pence of Cisco, her daughters: Billie Dawn King and husband Mike W. of Ballinger, and Twila Marie “Cookie” Dobson and husband Richard of Ranger, her grandsons: Jason Michael King of San Angelo, Charles Albert “CJ” Evans, Jr. and wife Holly of Ranger, and David Pence of Brownwood, her granddaughters: Amanda Mae Katherine Evans of Ranger, Casey Marie Dempsey and husband Bobby Keith of Ranger, Carey Leigh Gaumond and husband David B. of Roswell, New Mexico, her great grandchildren: Aletha and Billie Sam Harrington, Jaici and Lenoy Evans, David and Logan Gaumond, and two on the way, Wyatt Dempsey and Grace Evans.
