Wayland Fire Department Receives Fire Truck

Edwards Funeral Homes of Eastland, Ranger & Strawn and the Lucas Ranch on Necessity Highway, have donated a fire truck to the Wayland Volunteer Fire Department. The International pump truck was used by the Brock Fire Department from 1965 until 2005 and will pump 500 gallons of water a minute. It has recently been driven in two Breckenridge Christmas parades.

The truck is being donated to honor the Wayland Fire Department for all the hard work they do to fight fires in Stephens County. They have been a great asset to the Breckenridge Fire Department in putting out numerous fires on the Lucas Ranch & surrounding ranches through the years. So we truly appreciate the firefighters in the Wayland community.
