Saturday, June 9
8:00 AM: Registration begins at High Caliber Mercantile
(Behind the bank for the Cook-Off and Bloody Mary contest)
9:00 AM: Registration for Parade begins at the gazebo area
(Across from the bank)
9:30 AM: Parade line-up
(Horses by Bankhead Hotel all other entries on North Front St. by museum)
10:00 AM: Parade begins
(1st prize for best decorated division in float, horse, ATV/bike, and alumni car float. As overall best prize will be given as well)
11:00 AM – 5:00 PM: The Watson House will have an open house ($5.00 per person, please no children under the age of 8)
11:30 AM: Carnival begins (City Hall lawn) – games and wet slides
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Street tacos will be served for lunch at the Community Center Pavilion
1:00 – 3:00 PM: Game of Hound at the Community Center Pavilion and Horseshoe tournament behind the Pavilion
8:00 PM: Street dance at the Community Center Pavilion.
The Redwine Band will be playing
Old movies will be playing in City Hall after the parade.
The Strawn Historical Museum will be open during the day.
