Mildred Ruby Lee Johnson, 79, of Cisco passed away February 17, 2011, in Abilene after a long courageous battle with cancer. Services will be 2:30 PM Sunday in the Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Carl Begley officiating. Burial will follow in the Long Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Saturday in the Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel.
Mildred was born April 2, 1931, in Albany, Texas, to David and Clara (Warnecke) Huber. She attended school in Cisco. She and Harvey Johnson were married December 9, 1950,
Mildred was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved to cook, work in her garden and work her crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was Pentecostal.
Survivors are: husband, Harvey Johnson; son, Robert (Bobby) Johnson of Cisco; two daughters:
Barbara Sesssums and husband, Buddy, of Abilene, Deborah Matson of Mineral Wells; daughter-in-law, Elaine Johnson of Morton Valley; three sisters: Emma Watts and husband, Ike, of Cisco,
Ella Thompson and husband, Howard, of Eastland, and Esther Barker, of Imperial Beach, California; eleven grandkids: Darrell (Beau) Sessums, Ryan Sessums, Dusty Matson, Jared Matson, Clint Matson, Mindy Robinson, Brandi Foster, Jennifer Hallmark, Erica Kosmach, B. J. Knuutti, David Johnson and 16 great-grandkids.
Mildred was preceded in death by son, David Johnson, brother, Bill Huber, and granddaughters, Melissa Sessums Bratton and Tiffany Johnson.
Pallbearers will be grandsons—Dusty Maston, Clint Maston, Jarod Maston, Darrell Sessums, Ryan Sessums and David Johnson.
