Design of final upstream slope repairs are currently underway. The initial assessment and first phase of stabilization of the upstream slope was completed in May. Engineering and design of final repair measures began in June including two additional investigative soil borings and lab testing. Final repairs will include installation of buried steel sheet pile wall along the toe of the dam and placement of select fill and vegetative seeding to restore the upstream slope to its original condition. Final construction documents are anticipated to be complete by mid-August, and construction could begin by mid-September. Construction could be complete and FM 2461 reopened to the public by mid-November.
