An appreciation reception was held at the Connellee in Eastland last Thursday night honoring outgoing Texas House Representative Jim Keffer. Keffer has represented District 60 for the past 20 years and decided this election, it was time to step down. “You’re not supposed to do it forever” he said to the crowd of well wishers.
Speeches were given by Mark Pipkin and Eastland Mayor, Larry Vernon. Eastland County Judge Rex Fields read a Resolution of the Eastland County Commissioners’ Court honoring Mr. Keffer.
The Eastland High School Family Career Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) class prepared and served the hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.
