Congratulations to the 2013 Graduating Class of Gordon High School!
Graduation will be Friday, June 7th, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the Gordon High School New Gym.
|Emory Allen is the son of Phillip and Tricia Allen. During his high school years he received the 4-H Gold Star Award, State Record Book Award, State Range Evaluation 4th Place, Texas FFA-Star Lone Star Farmer Degree. He was selected as Gordon Lion's Club Student of the Year for three years. He was 2nd Team All-State Quarterback, 1st Team All-Region Quarterback and safety, Region III Most Valuable Player, District Offensive MVP. He was selected by the TSMCA to represent the East as Quarterback. He was All Star Cast Member in One Act Play, president of student council, Beta Club, 4-H and Gordon FFA. He participated in basketball (1st team All District), baseball and track (Regional and State Qualifier). He was Class President all four years, Palo Pinto County 4-H Council Delegate, 4-H Educational Presentation and Horse Quiz Bowl-State Qualifier. He participated in UIL-Calculator, Science, Social Studies, Persuasive Speaking, Informative Speaking and Spelling. He has shown top ranking animals in numerous stock show events. |
Emory plans to attend Angelo State University in San Angelo and major in pre-veterinarian medicine and animal science.
Emily Yolanda Ruppe is the daughter of Yolanda Ruppe. During high school she participated in basketball, cross country, track, softball, cheerleading, drill team, Beta Club and student council. She plans to attend Weatherford College for two years and then transfer to a university.
|Jennifer Ballard is the daughter of Betty and Randy Ballard. During high school she participated in softball, track, cross country, drill team, stock show and FFA. She plans to go to college at the Art Institute in Dallas.|
|Haley Barnes is the daughter of Thales and Laurie Barnes. During high school she participated in basketball, track and softball. She plans to attend Weatherford College for basics and then find a job.|
|David Michael Cherry is the son of David and Kim Cherry and Michelle and Josh Nolte. During high school he participated in Beta Club, football, basketball, baseball and track. He was first team All-State in football. He plans to attend Tarleton State University. During college he will assist coaching the Stephenville Faith Knights. He will possibly find a career in Kinesiology after graduating college.|
|Stephenie Davis is the daughter of Buddy and Marie Davis. During high school she was on the drill team. She plans to get a job and hopefully go to college.|
|Juanita Estrada is the daughter of Jaime and Maria Estrada. Her high school activities included cross country, cheerleading and track. She plans to attend Central Texas College for two years and then Texas Tech in Marble Falls to become a Special Education teacher for needy and disabled kids.|
|Diana Hernandez is the daughter of Alberto and Maria Hernandez. She plans to attend the University of Texas at Dallas and major in pre-health.|
|Rheagan Johnson is the daughter of Randy and Christi Johnson and Amy and James Fesser. Her highschool activities included basketball, softball, track, cheerleading, drill team, Beta Club, student council, UIL, 4-H and FFA. She plans to attend Weatherford College Nursing School and become an RN.|
|Pedro Lopez, Jr. is the son of Pedro Lopez and Alicia Loredo. During high school he participated in football, basketball, baseball, track, Beta Club and UIL. He was elected FFA officer and class officer. He plans to go to college to become an accountant.|
|Tierra Celeste Matthews is the daughter of Joey Matthews and Shawna Brooks. Her high school activities included One Act Play, Bald and the Beautiful and she helped with benefits for Vicky Beard. She plans to go to college at Ranger College to get a certificate in radiology. After that she plans to move to Albany and work at a hospital near Albany as a radiologist.|
|Callie Lavada McDaniel is the daughter of Louie and Jackie Jackson and the late Dee Jackson. During high school she participated in One Act Play and drill team. After high school she plans to move to Odessa and attend Howard College online and then transfer to University of Texas at Permian Basin to obtain a degree in Special Education.|
|Alex Montelongo is the son of Amy Montelongo. During high school he participated in football and basketball. After graduation he plans to attend Weatherford College.|
|Cassandra Michelle Parsons is the daughter of April Davis. High school activities included One Act Play, drill team captain, UIL, FBC student leader, Upward Bound. She will attend Howard Payne University in the fall and will study psychology and theater arts.|
|Stephen Plowman is the son of Tammy Plowman. During high school he participated in football. He plans to find a job and then go to college at TSTC.|
|Myriam Ponce is the daughter of Jorge and Idalia Ponce. During high school she participated in drill team and One Act Play. She plans to get a job and go to college for at least two years.|
|Michael Tyler Pool is the son of David Henderson and nephew of Michelle Henderson. During high school he participated in football, baseball, track, basketball and UIL. He plans to attend TSTC in Waco to get his electrical power and controls degree.|
|Evodio Rodea Jr. is the son of Evodio Rodea and Martha Angeles. During high school he participated in football, basketball, baseball, FFA and track. He plans to go to college at Weatherford.|
|Justina Lee Salters is the daughter of Jay Salters and Regina Vila. During high school she participated in One Act Play - 2 years, Mascot - 2 years, and 4-H all 4 years. After graduation she plans to start college in July at the Art Institute in Ft. Worth to be a photographer. After a year she plans to work and save money to start her own studio called "Gussy's Photography".|
|Blake Thompson is the son of Brad and Betty Thompson. During high school he participated in football, baseball, basketball, and track. He was elected FFA officer and was Class Favorite. He plans to attend Tarleton State University and become a coach.|
|Karlee Witt is the daughter of Tracie Witt. Her high school activities include cheerleading. After graduation she plans to attend Weatherford College to become a Sonogram Tech.|
