The City of Eastland, in conjunction with Leon Bosque RC&D, will host a FREE COUNTY-WIDE electronics recycling day on October 21, 2017 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. Residents of Eastland County may bring their old electronics to the Maverick Stadium parking lot and drop them off for free for recycling by Commodity Recycling Solutions.
No items may be dropped off prior to 9 a.m. October 21, or after 12 Noon unless sponsors are present. Watch for directional signs indicating actual drop off locations at the event site.
The following types of electronics will be accepted from county RESIDENTS only (NO COMMERCIAL): Computers, Laptops, Cell Phones, CRT Monitors, Servers, Racking, UPS, Printers, Fax Machines, Copiers, Routers, Switches, Cabling, Phone Systems, Household Items, Stereos, Speakers, DVD Players, VCRs, TVs, Appliances-Small and Large, Coffee Makers, Irons, Cameras, Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers, Digital Cameras, Lab & Light Industrial Equipment, Metals, Plastics and More.
The following items will NOT be accepted: Light Bulbs, Batteries, Mercury, Paint, Tires, Appliances containing Freon gases such as refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers.
Everyone is encouraged to clean out the closets, garages and basements of these electronic and recyclable items and bring them to the Maverick Stadium parking lot in Eastland.
To participate, proof of residency in Eastland County will be required such as driver’s license, utility bill, Eastland County Tax Statement.
Funding for this event is made possible through a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality enforcement action.
