With the motto “It’s time to move forward“, a group of Eastland ISD students volunteered to go out into the community Thursday evening to knock on doors and talk to voters about the upcoming Eastland ISD Bond election. The students were divided into groups and taken to targeted homes in town to hand out literature in support of the bonds. If no one was home, they left informative door hangers.
Eastland ISD will have two bond propositions on the ballot totaling $12.2 million. The bonds will be used to free up maintenance and operation funds, pay for renovations to the high school and adding a new addition to the school that will include an elevator, accessible restrooms on each of the three floors and new science labs.
Early voting is from April 24th – May 2nd with election day on Saturday, May 6th. All voting will be at the Eastland County Courthouse.
