The Eastland ISD Bond Initiative Political Action Committee (PAC) held a support rally Thursday evening, March 30th, on the square in Eastland. Speakers included Eastland mayor, Larry Vernon, local businessman, Bryan Jackson and parents and students who have been left on the first floor of EHS due to the lack of accessibility to the 2nd and 3rd floors. Volunteer performances were performed by EHS Cheerleaders, Siebert Singers and the EHS Band.
The theme of the movement is “It’s Time to Move Forward”.
The bonds total $12.2 million and, if approved, will bring accessibility and ADA restrooms to each floor in and include renovations to the high school.
Early election runs April 24th – May 2nd with election day being Saturday, May 6, 2017. Voting location election day at the Eastland County Courthouse 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. The last day to register to vote is Thursday, April 6th.
