I have heard that EASTLAND COUNTY is not really important in the big TX picture. I am disappointed with that response even though it might be true. If it is ….then our system has become a travesty. I do believe that if the OR can find and communicateven with us individually the removal of the electoral college is long past due. Perhaps the Senate and house of Representatives needs to be reconsidered as well. We do not appear to be represented effectively.surely there is a more honest way.

I haven’t seen the Republican propositions, but I’m sure they weren’t the same as the ones on the Democratic ballot, if that’s what you are talking about when you say “guessing they didn’t want Republicans to vote on those”… they were supposed to be on the Republican primary ballot only, so only Republicans would have had the opportunity to vote for those. I did read the ones on the Democratic ballot and they were just questions. I presume they are polling their voters to see what they might want to put up for a vote on the general election ballot. There are two primary elections.. the Republican party and the Democrat party. Their ballots are separate and anything on the Republican ballot is probably not on the Democrat ballot and vice versa. The primary election allows the parties to find out the interests of their voters. The primaries don’t make anything law or put anyone in office. It is the general election in November that does that. This seems to have simply been an oversight at the Republican Eastland County level. At least the Republicans have a say in who our county-level officials are. The Eastland County Democrats don’t get a vote for County Judge and the other county offices this time around. With all county candidates running as Republicans, those who won the Republican primaries will not have an opponent in the general election.

Yes I have been telling people that all day today, that I was screwed in not getting my vote in on those propositions. Makes me wonder if the whole thing was even legit!!! Yes I am a Republican so guessing they didn’t want the Republicans to vote on those! I demand answers as to why the Republicans right to vote on those propositions were revoked? Was it because we are Republicans? A set up by Democrats? Don’t dare blame it on Russia, this was only in Eastland County to my knowledge but it could have been in others I am not aware of. Our votes matter!
