Counterfeit Money Passed in Cisco

50sThe Cisco Police Department reported that on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, they were called to Ted’s Service Station on North Highway 6 in Cisco in reference to a suspicious $50.00 bill. The responding Officer took information about the individual who passed the bill including a vehicle license plate number.

A short time later Cisco Police Officers located the vehicle at another business, Phancy Nails, in Cisco. Cisco Officers entered the business and made contact with the suspect identified as 19-year-old, Korin-Park Overton of Austin. After a brief investigation, Korin-Park Overton attempted to hide more of the fake 50.00 dollar bills. The bogus money was located by the investigating officers. Along with the fake money officers also found marijuana in her possession.

Korin-Park Overton was charged with Tampering with evidence, possession of marijuana, and the counterfeit money case was turned over to Secret Service.
