Cisco Home Destroyed by Fire

At 7:21 AM Sunday, February 25th, the Cisco Fire Department responded to a working structure fire in the 900 block of West 8th St. Upon arrival there was heavy fire and smoke coming out of the roof of a two-story residential home. First on crews made an offensive attack for a few minutes until Incident Command determined it was too unsafe for firefighters to be inside. Around 8 AM crews were ordered to evacuate the structure and go to a defensive strategy. All occupants have been accounted for and the owner is aware of the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. I would like to commend the efforts of the firefighters on scene for a diligent effort to save this home unfortunately it is a total loss. Great job from crews from the City of Cisco, Cisco Police Department, Eastland Fire Department, and Eastland Hospital EMS. No injuries reported.
