Charity Golf Tournament CANCELED/Resceduled

The Golf Tournament has been canceled due to rain and rescheduled for October 27th.

The Eastland County Children’s Advocacy Center will be hosting the 5th Annual “Play a Round for the Kids,” 18-hole charity golf scramble on September 29, 2012, at Lone Cedar Country Club in Eastland, TX.  All proceeds from the golf scramble will benefit abused and neglected children in Eastland County.

The format will be a 4-person scramble.  Registration begins at 8 am and tee off is at 9 am.  The cost to enter is $60/person or $240/team.  The registration fee includes 18 holes of golf and a meal. A mulligan will be available for your purchase at $5, which will be limited to two per person.  Cash prizes will be awarded to winning teams.  In addition, cash and/or other prizes will be given to the winners of the closest to the pin, longest drive, most accurate, and last, but not least, a Hole-In-One contest with the prize being $5,000 cash.

The CAC gives back all player entry fees to the winners for prizes; therefore, sponsorships for this event are crucial. There are several levels of sponsorship available.  If you would like to play in the scramble and/or want to advertise for your business, this is the perfect opportunity to do both on a budget because entries are included in each level of sponsorship.  The number of entries depends on the level of sponsorship selected.  Sponsorships must be received no later than September 6, 2012 in order to have signs printed for the event.  Forms containing information on the sponsorship levels can be found on their website at www.victim-services.net.  Click on the “Upcoming Events” icon on the left of the screen and select the golf tournament sponsorship form and/or the golf tournament player entry form. Checks can be made payable to Children’s Advocacy Center and mailed to P.O. Box 1010, Eastland, TX 76448.  Also, follow the CAC on Facebook at www.facebook.com/eastlandcountycac.  The CAC is a community-based program that is required to raise 50% of annual revenue from community sources. The Children’s Advocacy Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  Please call the CAC at (254) 629-8229 for any other questions about the tournament.
